DOUBLE-POINT NIGHT!!!
Registration will open at 5:30pm on Marauder Street - on the north end of the Chico Airport.......right out front from the old Koret Building. This is also the Start/Finish line of the race. The Category "A" group will start, and 30 seconds later the Category "B" group will start.
The Long-Course is 1-mile in length and includes a very slight incline between turns #3 & #4......and the finish is a slight downhill. The course is just one big rectangle - please see map. It's 4 turns - all right-hand turns. The course is very wide - and actually safer - than our short-course Airport Criterium. We use to hold races out at this course in 2009 and it was a BLAST! So, thought we'd give this course a "go" and see how it goes.
Category "A" will go for 45 minutes PLUS 3 laps.......with Category "B" going for 40 minutes PLUS 3 laps - remember, the course is 1-mile in length(our normal course is .62 miles in length). I will give you the time updates as we go along, as well as the 3-to-go sign, and so on. Point Primes WILL be offered in this one - ALL counting towards the 2012 Chico Airport Criterium Series. In addition, we have been able to get some prizes to give away as Primes this season - so will be giving those away at the races starting in May.
RAIN OR WET PAVEMENT WILL ALWAYS CANCEL THE CRITERUMS.
HELMETS ARE MANDATORY!
